This place was recommended by a colleague of mine to try authentic Indian food. Food was great and good value for money! We had aloo masala cheese dosa and the north Indian thalai - both delicious and of good quality. We paid £30 for the food together with spring water and a grape juice. The restaurant is a bit dirty though specifically having food on the floor.

Wonderfully authentic Indian vegetarian restaurant. Open view into kitchen which is always reassuring and interesting to see food being prepared. I'm not a vegetarian per say and usually prefer my meats but but was pleasantly surprised and wouldn't hesitate to visit again. Very good value for £25 for two with shared starter, main course and coffee

Nice food. Service is quick and friendly. The food came as expected and it was tasty. We ordered the Onion Chilly Tomato Uttapam. The tomato chutney and coconut chutneys went well with the uttapam. I will definitely visit this place again.

FEELS CRAMPED YET GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY Arya Bhavan in Tooting (Upper Tooting Road) in London offers a tempting dive into South Indian vegetarian cuisine. This is part of the Nagerkoil Arya Bhavan chain. We visited this joint twice in the last two weeks. The atmosphere is casual and energetic and expect a bustling, canteen-style space with packed tables, and a steady flow of locals and regulars Where Arya Bhavan truly shines is its food. The menu is extensive: dosas (including masala, ghee and cheese variations), idlis, vadas, filter coffee, and South Indian thalis are among the favourites. Most reviewers praise the authenticity of flavours—rich sambar, crisp vadas, and a good choice of chutneys. However, service is inconsistent and the place feels cramped. We had to wait for a while to be attended. The premises are also a bit noisy and comfort is just about modest. The premises can be noisy, perhaps during peak hours. Comfort is modest rather than luxurious. In terms of value, Arya Bhavan would score well with generous portions for reasonable prices, especially for veg-South Indian food

Visited here once before under the previous name and was not impressed on that visit. Decided to give Arya Bhavan a try last night and so glad we did. We ordered the cheese masala dosa and the schezwan spicy mushroom cheese and asked for the mushrooms to be replaced with paneer. Both dosas were 10/10. The flavour and taste was amazing and we can't wait to return to try all the other dosas on the menu.

The restaurant was very busy however the staff was very friendly and helpful. Geeta, the manager is a lovely lady and very attentive and hands on.

We paid under £10 for each dosa. Highly recommend for the dosas.

I had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast with my family and friends, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. The food was served at the perfect temperature and offered an authentic taste of India, which we all thoroughly appreciated. The service was exceptionally quick and welcoming, adding to the overall positive atmosphere.

A special highlight for our family was my daughter’s excitement over their Cheese Dosa. Being a big fan of cheese, she absolutely loved it, which made the experience even more special for us.

Overall, we were all very pleased with the meal and the service. A big thanks to the team for making our breakfast outing so enjoyable!

Brunch of South Indian cuisine and delicacies is the best way to start a day.
Arya Bhavan in Tooting is the place to be for such an experience.
A plate of idly and meduvadai came with 3 chutneys that were a delight in itself . But the show stopper was the flavourful Sambar.
Masala dosa with its perfectly seasoned potato filling could suffice as a meal in itself.
Veg utthapam was a slight let down because the veg bit had chunky carrots and beans that lacked any flavour.
I'd visit this place again, if for nothing then only to have it's Sambar.

The whole meal for 2 cost £20 only.
    I'd give this place a 4/5 rating.

Excellent place for vegetarian food in Tooting high street. Elegent interior decor, tasty food, excellent service that we found to be lightning fast, and staff (especially Raj and Bima who attended to us) who smile very pleasantly at the clients. The South Indian filter coffee was served piping hot, as it should be, and was very good. Strongly recommended. I wish the management all the best - and lots of headaches in terms of the need to expand their premises!

A place definitely go to if you like South Indian food! They do have Indo Chinese menu but not after B’fast hours. I was a bit disappointed with that since I wanted to try a few of their food. Otherwise their food was delicious and not too pricy. I would recommend you reserve a table if you going later in the day as it gets busy.
I ordered their Chole Bhaturas and man was I not disappointed with that at all. The Bature was the size of my whole plate. 😎

Authentic South Indian food with a few specialities seen anywhere other than South Indian homes.

The bonus was the millet selection of dosas. High protein, nutritious and tasty.
Would love the addition of millet idly then it will be my go to place for breakfast.

Loved the fact you could have more chutneys and sambhar just like in India.
    Tomatoe chutney was very tasty.

Very busy with a good turn around. Wish they opened downstairs as very tight seating.
Just what Tooting needed good tasty food economically priced.

Older reviews refer to sharvana bhavan which was different with limited choice and bland taste.
